Faith for the Next

Summary: The sermon explored the call to possess faith that reaches beyond our current circumstances and into what God has already prepared for us. Drawing from Joshua 1 and Joshua 3:5, the message challenged us to stop living only in the victories and struggles of the present and to develop an active, forward-moving faith. Just as Joshua was commanded to lead Israel across the Jordan into a land God had already given them, we too are called to cross over into the next season God has ordained for our lives — as individuals, families, and as the church.

Faith prepares before it sees. Genuine faith does not wait for growth, increase, or revival to arrive before making room for it. If we believe God is moving, our actions must reflect that belief. We prepare for the harvest before the harvest comes, in our churches, our finances, our families, and our personal lives.

Faith trusts God with the unknown. Tomorrow is not in our hands, but it is in God's. The difficulties and heartbreaks we face are not signs of abandonment — they are often the very womb in which God is expanding our territory and preparing us for greater responsibility. Trusting God with the unknown means continuing to move even when we do not have all the answers.

Faith believes God is already working in what comes next. God does not merely walk beside us or follow behind us — His presence goes before us. Whatever you are facing tomorrow, His glory has already met it. We can praise Him now because what He has promised is already done in the spirit.
